Hamper-Bench Seat

This was a present for my wife Carol the Christmas after we finished remodeling her bathroom. You can see that work under the architecture tab. This was a very quick project designed to match the cabinetry I designed in the bathroom and also to be functional. It is made out of cherry with copper screen wire panels. The dowels and proud protruding box joint is a nod to the furniture design of Greene & Greene. It is placed next to the shower so you can sit to dry off your feet as needed. If I make another, I definitely need to ease the edge off the top slates….
